Student voice is an important part of school life with lively and active House Council and School Councils covering a wide range of topics for their peers every year.
Every year though we have the student leaders at the top of the school and these make-up the Senior Six. They are Sixth Form students, are decided by applications, are carefully considered by senior staff and play a key role in school events and as a sounding board for school direction and new ideas.
This year’s Senior Six are an exemplary bunch – and though many of these who missed out can be well satisfied with how close they came – this group would stand put in any school in the country:
Head Boy – James O’Donnell
Head Girl – Sophie Ellett
Deputy Head Boy – Jaye Camacho
Events Co-Ordinator – Isobel Duignan
Charities Co-Ordinator – Harry Barton
Chair of School Council – Sophie Patrick
Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “The pressure is very much on as we expect these students to deliver academically, as well as be leaders and role models in daily school life. Even so, we have absolute faith they can do this and we look forward to them being a huge success in these important roles.”
