The Summer 2018 Sixth Form results only revealed what a talented band of students we are losing as they head off to universities, higher-level apprenticeships, gap years and employment.
Even so, our new Year 13s have stepped up as student leaders and the new Year 12s look like they will be an exceptional group too.
Carrie Cain, Assistant Headteacher, said: “We are incredibly proud of our Sixth Formers and can see no reason why the Year 13s coming through cannot replicate the superb results from the summer.”
Matt Allman, Headteacher, added: “We are pleased that our Sixth Form Year 12 cohort has grown on 25% on last year’s intake, but are equally motivated to ensure that we do not resort to simply focusing on ‘bums on seats’ as it is important that we can guarantee we are with our students every step of the way. Our new Year 12s achieved some wonderful results in the summer but we want to ensure this trajectory continues and that we make sure we provide the soft skills, life skills and wider opportunities that mark our Sixth Form out as such a strong local provider.”
