The final week of term sees our Y12 students go off on work experience placement as preparation for potential future careers, as well as university and employment applications.
The placements cover a wide range of settings include accountancy, retail, engineering, health care, and the voluntary sector.
Furthermore, students are also heading off on overseas placements; for example, Harry Barton is heading off to Sri Lanka to contribute towards the construction of a school.
Claire Ballinger, Aspirations Mentor, said: “Academic qualifications are crucial for the world of work but it is clear that any application is far stronger if there is practical experience backing them up. These placements give our students a valuable insight and give them that boost in the competitive world they are heading towards.”
