Following on from the success of their first match against the EDA, Friary Year 7 Cricket team swept aside Nether Stowe in a local derby with 12 overs to spare.

Opening the bowling, Friary limited Nether Stowe to 47 for 1, from their 16 overs, with some excellent spells from Jacob Housley, Job Ptolomey, Louis Cope & Ethan Porter, making it very difficult for Netherstowe to score runs.

The Friary surpassed the required runs in four overs with Ethan Porter smashing a fantastic 26 runs from 15 deliveries and Louis Cope adding the rest.

Cole Hickman, team coach, said: “This was another excellent performance from some very promising young cricketers and amidst a lot of talent Ethan Porter took ‘man-of-the-match’.”
