The Year 7’s had a busy schedule for rounders last week competing in two league matches and a tournament.
Their final match for the week was against Abbotsholme who, despite training most days, saw the Friary team put up a good fight and display some exceptional fielding skills.
Friary were a player down due to limited bus space, however the captain Ely Armstrong made some tactical changes to ensure all areas were covered.
The girls hit some lovely rounders scored by Aimee Whillis, Gabi Davies-Friend and Isobel Allman and player of the match was awarded to Aimee Whillis for her consistent technique and determination in both fielding and batting.
At the end of the match, the Head of Sport at Abbotsholme said: ”What a lovely bunch of girls you have Ms Fallows at the Friary, real credit to the school, lovely individuals”.
