Year 9 Science students enjoyed a I-Rail STEM Event before the Easter Break which was designed to broaden the students perception of the engineering sector.
Students investigated the I-Rail programme and exploited potential career routes in the rail industry. This was followed by a Q&A session with a civil engineer and an interactive group activity based around innovation and robotics.
Claire Ballinger, Aspirations Mentor, said: “The STEM subjects lead into high-end careers and this session was one of several tied into National Science & Engineering Week. We are keen to ensure every child is guided on their future career routes and this rewarding session met this objective.”
