Our Fair Trade Fortnight Focus Week saw the latest round of our House Debating Competition and the highly competitive debates saw Darwin House triumph overall.
The winning team was made up of Mia Lowe, Millie Horne, Georgia Piper and Isabelle Smith who showed a wealth of supporting evidence on the topic, but they were also able to adeptly deal with the arguments posed by their opponents in what was a very strong performance.
All participants should be extremely proud of their contributions to what is an important global issue, however, special mention should go to Erin Fry and Isabelle Smith, who were judged to be our most valuable debaters across the two rounds.
Jason Cain, Assistant Headteacher, said: “This competition has been fantastic all year and is really developing and the showcasing the talents of our students. This particular round was a pleasure to watch and it will be great to see the rivalry return next year.”
