Any parent will know that it can be frantic time if your child calls you to say the bus has not arrived and they are stranded. This can occasionally happen if there is severe weather or a bus even breaks down.

A great option is to sign up to free text alerts so that if a bus is late then you get to hear about it first.

You can obtain these alerts by signing up at www.staffordshire.gov.uk/customer-alerts or calling 01785 276 738.

Wendy Bennett, School Business Manager, said: “We are in constant contact with the bus services to try and get the best out of their service. This alert scheme is potentially great piece of mind for parents and well worth considering.”
