The Friary Under-16s Boys hockey team continued to show promise as they swept aside local rivals EDA 9-0 in a one sided affair.
Friary looked sharp from the off and pressed EDA high in their own half throughout the game, consistently getting the ball into dangerous areas and turning the ball over very quickly. Their working in pairs made it very difficult for the home side to get any footing in the game at all.
Goals came easily for The Friary with some well worked team goals and two spectacular solo finishes from Sam Grainger and Ryan Jones. Goals were scored by: Sam Grainger (5), Robbie Honey, Ryan Jones, Charlie Allarton & Callum Bobel.
Cole Hickman, PE Teacher and Team Coach, said: “The boys have all been working very hard at training recently and have shown here that has really played off with a convincing victory.
