Our Sixth Form team have established our Oxbridge Support Programme which provides assistance for all students seeking to apply for Oxford or Cambridge University.

The programme includes mentoring, personal statement support, talks from our links at Cambridge University, preparation with Oxbridge graduates, guidance on assignments, mock interviews and more besides.

Last week saw our four applicants attend a specialist event at Staffordshire University which was designed to support applications and interviews for Oxford and Cambridge universities this year.

The session was led by Nelli Chamings, the Schools Liaison & Access Officer at University College, Oxford, and included interview prep, mock questions and general Q&A about the process.

Carrie Cain, Assistant Headteacher, said: “Our students found the session incredibly rewarding and got a lot from it. Our Oxbridge Support Programme builds into our wider Raising Aspirations work which supports all university applications, but the precise features and demands of an Oxbridge application process need very specific work. We are confident that we are ensuring all of our applicants have the best possible chance of success in a highly competitive process.”
