The first of a series of Instrumental Feature Evenings running through the year took place just before half-term.
The performances focused on clarinets and pianos / keyboards with students of all ages taking part and producing some excellent solo and ensemble performances.
The evenings are more low-key than the larger school shows and Sizzler-style events, but is designed to give students the chance to showcase the progress that they have made on their instrument, and provide an opportunity for them to perform in front of an audience.
Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “The Instrumental Evening was a great success and is a welcome initiative to develop performance skills and boost confidence in front of a smaller, more intimate audiences.”
