This week Y13 English Literature students are participating in a ‘Shakespeare Live’ event this week and will be watching a live recording of ‘The Winter’s Tale’ by theatre company ‘Cheek by Jowl’, in association with the Barbican Theatre.

This version of ‘Shakespeare on Demand’ allows the general public to see a wider variety of theatre; for our Y13 students, it allows us to explore Shakespeare in performance in a much more accessible way.

Sam Male, Head of House and A-Level teacher, said: “The A-level exam asks students to evaluate the impact of plays in performance and this platform allows us to explore that in a modern and flexible manner. Not only is it helping their studies, but it is also a chance yo take part on a celebrated national event.”
