Three of the school’s Governing Body dropped in last week for a school improvement but meeting, but also to see how the new lunch arrangements are going.

Jamie Checkland (Chair of Governors), Michelle Painter (Leadership & Management Lead) and Nina Worrall (Sixth Form Lead) dined in the canteen with the students, toured the site to visit the lunch-rooms, Sixth Form Centre and new SEND support room, and mingled with students to talk about the school and the reduced lunch-time schedule.

The feedback was very positive – and the canteen food got rave reviews too !

Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “We have some excellent governors and their contribution to our development is invaluable. Any change provokes discussion so it was great for them to see the lunch-time period in full flow and working so well – queues gone with 15mins to go, plenty of food, good behaviour around the site, and positive happy students.”
