A week after the Sixth Form high-fliers got their excellent results, our Year 11 students managed to match their achievements with some wonderful grades, and several students managed to achieve the 8 and 9 benchmarks in the all-new, all-tougher GCSEs.
We measure student achievement in two main ways – attainment and progress. Attainment refers to the actual grades they got and Progress refers to their final results from their starting point at the beginning of Year 7.
The following grades relate to GCSE / Vocational courses:

Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “The new grading system brought challenges for students and teachers alike so it was fantastic to see so many students hitting the 8 and 9 grades in their first year. Similarly, the measuring of progress is now fraught with difficulty, but what is certain is that those students listed left Year 6 at one level and have far exceeded expectations in Year 11. All of these students deserve the highest praise and have made both the school and their families incredibly proud.”
