The PTA Summer Raffle raised just shy of £500 for the PTA and with the final count being done we are looking good for the ambitious £10,000 target which was set amidst much furore at the start of the year.
Deryk Law, PTA member, kindly donated a superb tablet / keyboard combo that was the incentive for a student to sell the most tickets and win this star prize.
The eventual winner was Elizabeth Short, Year 9, and she was presented with her award on the final day of term.
Lottie Hearn, Assistant Headteacher, said: “The Summer Raffle was a little more rushed amidst the hubbub of Summer Sizzler arrangements but still raised a sizeable profit for the PTA. Naturally, huge thanks to the wonderful local businesses who donated prizes to the draw and to Elizabeth who sold the most tickets overall. We are looking to run an Xmas Raffle next term so keep your eyes peeled for those tickets.”
