The Friary’s entry in The Tortoise & The Hare Trail was sold off to the highest bidder in the charity auction on 15th July and came in a respectable 3rd place out of a field of 30 entrants.
Our hare sold for £400 and the profits raised are all going to The Friary PTA.
Lottie Hearn, Assistant Headteacher, said: “Our hare was designed and created by students and staff in our Art Department and we are delighted how well it performed. This is a wonderful project which has seen entries across our city and it is great to get the double benefit of extra PTA funds and the chance to contribute as a school to a superb community event.”
