Saturday & Holiday Schools
We are committed to going the extra mile for our students, which is why we regularly offer Saturday and Holiday Schools to complement and enhance the learning that takes place in the classroom.
These sessions are free of charge, consistently well attended, and reflect the school's unwavering commitment to helping every student achieve their full potential. While they are primarily aimed at students preparing for final examinations, we also provide sessions for students completing coursework and controlled assessments at other stages of their studies.
In addition to deepening students' understanding of subject content, these sessions help build confidence and develop effective study habits. Just as importantly, attending demonstrates a student's commitment to their learning and future success, signalling to themselves and their families that they are prepared to invest the time and effort required to achieve their goals.
Attendance is voluntary, although we may occasionally strongly encourage participation where we feel a student would particularly benefit. Students are not required to wear school uniform and should simply sign in and out at Main Reception when attending.
Saturday Schools
Saturday Schools run from 9:00am to 11:00am and are typically focused on revision and exam preparation. Some sessions are linked directly to upcoming mock or formal examinations, while others are designed to support students with coursework and other key assessments.
All Saturday Schools are subject-specific, led by specialist teaching staff, and are planned and published in advance for each half-term. This ensures that students and families are able to plan ahead and take full advantage of the additional support available
The dates of these sessions for 2026-2027 can be seen on the main school calendar here.

Holiday Schools
For the wellbeing of both students and staff, we prefer to provide additional support through Saturday Schools during term time.
However, there are occasions when calendar constraints make it necessary to offer support sessions during school holidays. For example, national examination dates and coursework deadlines are fixed externally and can sometimes fall immediately after a holiday period, making additional preparation time particularly valuable.
Holiday Schools operate in much the same way as our Saturday Schools, providing focused, subject-specific support led by specialist staff. Sessions may be organised into morning and afternoon blocks.
While Holiday Schools may be offered during any school holiday, they are most commonly scheduled during the Easter holiday and the May half-term break (Whitsun).
Details of all Holiday School sessions are communicated to students and parents well in advance. These sessions complement the extensive revision and examination support materials made available through Satchel One, helping students to remain focused, confident and well prepared for their exams.
