Seward House celebrate in style

Seward House Week saw a wide range of events through which students celebrated their House, and had fun whilst also raising money for their chosen charity, Midlands Air Ambulance.

There were activities to suit all tastes, including a basketball tournament, a raffle, a lucky dip - and a competition in the style of The 1% Club. There was also an incredibly busy cake sale.

Elsewhere, Seward House organised a colour run and a very entertaining staff food challenge, which took place in front of a packed-out theatre.

In their challenge, participating staff had to retrieve a donut from the string - with their hands behind their backs (!) - and the challenge continued from there, having also to eat a whole Weetabix, drink a strange drink, pick up sweets with chopsticks and then go head-to-head eating marshmallows.

It wasn't entirely clear who won, at least from the photographic evidence - but staff challenges are always a big hit with our students!

Mr Sleigh, Head of House, had a small army of volunteers from among the students in his Seward and, between them and supporting staff, many hours went into preparing the activities for everyone to enjoyed.

At the time of writing, the total raised for Midlands Air Ambulance had not been definitively tallied - but all indications are that Seward House, with their victory at Sports Day in July fresh in the mind, have again delivered a winning formula.
