Hot Chocolate with the Head - 6/11/26

Miss Wright, Johnson's Head of House, nominated Elijah D (Year 7) for his "fantastic start to his time at The Friary." Miss Wright acknowledged that Elijah has a "can do" attitude to everything  and also has an "exceptional work ethic," which is one of the reasons Elijah is already one of the top House Point achievers in Johnson House.

Ben E (Year 7) was nominated from Seward House by Mr Sleigh, who described his "great start to (his) time at The Friary." Ben's Head of House also praised him as a "polite, respectful and hardworking student" who is helping to set the standards for other Year 7s to follow.

Mrs Radford nominated Zach B (Year 7) as her Star of the Week. Zach's award is for a "brilliant start to Year 7," especially in showing "incredible resilience." Zach has also accrued an "amazing" 400+ House Points already.

Darwin's Head of House, Mr Britton, nominated Tabitha R (Year 9) for having a "fantastic term so far," and being a "positive role model in school." This included presenting in an "excellent House Assembly" and being recognised as 'Student of the Week' in a number of individual subjects.

Mr Drury, Headteacher, said: "It is fantastic to see Year 7 students being recognised for great starts to their Friary careers by their own Heads of House. This is alongside Tabitha who, as an older student with a long track record of hard work and achievement in school, is equally as deserving."
