Hot Chocolate with the Head - 2/10/26

Miss Wright, Johnson's Head of House, nominated Theresa W (Year 10) for her "brilliant attitude." Miss Wright gave credit that Theresa currently has the most Achievement Points in the whole House and has made a "fantastic start" to her Year 10 courses.

Darwin's Head of House, Mr Britton, nominated Zach R (Year 10) for putting himself forward to represent the school earlier in the week by being a tour guide during Open Evening. He did a "fantastic job" in this role, Mr Britton said.

Phillipa F (Year 10) was nominated from Garrick House by Mrs Radford, who described her as "a credit to the school". Phillipa also volunteered as a tour during Open Evening. Mrs Radford also noted Phillipa's "continued excellence across the board" and that she had made an excellent start to her Key Stage 4 courses. Phillipa is also a cast member in the school's forthcoming production of Little Shop of Horrors.

Mr Sleigh's nomination from Seward House was Emilia R (Year 8). Not only has Emilia made a "fantastic start to the school year," she has also had an "exceptionally good week" earning Achievement Points. Emilia was yet another student volunteer guide for Open Evening, and Mr Sleigh noted that the parent Emilia was guiding around school took the time to tell him what an "unbelievable" job Emilia had done representing the school.

Mr Drury, Headteacher, said: "It was lovely to see Theresa, Zach and Phillipa, who were all on our residential trip to Normandy at the end of Year 9, recognised by their Heads of House. Emilia also was very deserving and we wish her well in her swimming competition this weekend."
