Students in Years 9 and 10 attempted the UKMT Intermediate Maths Challenge after school this evening, having been preparing since October. Many of the students in Year 9 did incredibly well in  the Junior Maths Challenge last year and we are confident that they will replicate that success this year. The challenge consists of increasingly difficult maths problems which draw upon a variety of mathematical and logical skills. This is the second maths challenge to take place this school year following sixth form students competing in the Senior Maths Challenge in November.

Grant Portlock, Maths teacher, said: “There will be another challenge for Year 7 and 8 students taking place at the end of April and we would love to see even more pupils taking part!”
