Our new Saturday School programme has gone into its second week and after seeing 20 students hitting Educake Science in Week 1 we had 22 GCSE Maths students on for special sessions with Miss Clamp, Mr Douglas and Miss Kenney.
The Saturday Schools are designed to target students in getting their next grade up – always aiming higher but in a relaxed atmosphere of ‘own clothes’, copious snacks, and a true student-teacher partnership which is always the best means of reaping the best results.
Carrie Cain, Assistant Headteacher, said: “This was my first experience overseeing Saturday School and it was fantastic to see so many students coming in to boost their exam prep. Our staff are all focused on helping their students achieve their very best and giving up their weekends is part of that dedication commitment. I’m already looking forward to doing my next one.”
