Our recent World Book Day celebrations filled our Focus Week and every student was made well aware of this important day in the school calendar.
The Year 7 students were visited by the renowned children’s author Miriam Halalmy, whose publications include ‘Hidden’ and ‘The Emergency Zoo’. The sessions included Q&A and creative writing skills and we have high hopes
There was also a World Book Day Big Book Quiz staged in the library which saw teams of all age groups compete for prizes.
There were also special assemblies and tutor time session throughout the week.
