The Year 9 Boys made short work of EDA in a one-sided affair with a late breakaway the only blot in the copy book in a 5-1 rout.

The Friary dominated form the first whistle and in the very early stages Robbie Honey fire home a superb reverse stick shot on a short corner routine.

Soon after came a speedy run through the middle from Charlie Allerton found Sam Grainger to take on the EDA defence and cross a long ball across the D for Sam Hutchison to make no mistake and make the score 2-0.

By half time Friary were 3-0 up after a tremendous goal from Sam Grainger and the half-time team talk emphasised the need to not let up and to press home the advantage.

The second half saw the boys continue to press and run circles around the opposition defence gaining another two goals from Grainger and this time Charlie Allerton.

Even so, a spirited EDA team did not give up and made a quick break in the second half, scoring their only goal of the match ending the game at 5-1 Friary.

The performance was outstanding and the victory was thoroughly deserved.
