As part of our commitment to making sure our students have a real voice in the direction of the school, the Student Council took part in interviewing the candidates for our recent Assistant Headteacher post.
Students from all year groups – Ellie Barnett, Chloe Britton, Elliot Fox, Callum Gair, Maisie Geobey, Carla Joint, Megan Jones, Panashe Makokwe, Grace McCue, David Morris-Samuels – put the candidates through their paces.
Their feedback was put into the mix for the final decision-making process and the candidates were all impressed by the students’ insight and questioning.
The newly appointed Assistant Headteacher, Mark Drury, starts after Easter and will take a lead on our ‘Personal Development, Behaviour & Welfare’ brief.
