Friary under 15’s hockey team swept aside Abottsholme in a dominating performance yesterday evening.
The boys started the game strongly using a high press to isolate the Abottsholme defence and limit their options from the back.
The home side quickly ran out of ideas and Friary were 2-0 up within the first minutes with goals coming from Sam Grainger and Marcus John.
This set the precedent for the rest of the game with Abottsholme struggling to get the ball out of there half throughout and Friary capitalising with sharp passing moves and clinical finishing. Goals coming from Lee Hames, Declan Mann (2), Josh Smith and Marcus John doubling his tally.
