The U15 Boys Handball team won last week’s Cannock & District Handball Tournament held at The Erasmus Darwin Academy as they came to in the round robin league format.
The team gained three victories against local rivals – Cardinal Griffin (3-2), EDA (4-3) and Hart Academy (8-0) – but suffered one defeat to Tudor Grange from Solihull. Even so, the overall results saw the team come out on top.
Oli Forster, Assistant Headteacher, said: “Our PE Department have a real strength in competitive matches and offer a wide range of opportunities and sports to entice students to get involved. The handball team is one we are very proud of and the PE staff’s training package has delivered in spades here.”
