presentaion-evening-2016Students past and present attended this special evening to receive certificates and awards for their excellent exam results from last summer.

This event is staged later in the term to ensure all those students who successfully ventured off to far-flung universities were back to celebrate, as well as taking in Y11s on apprenticeships and in employment, and those who moved smoothly into our Sixth Form.

The well-attended event saw a string of prize-winners including Jennifer Deakin taking the Headteacher’s Award for Outstanding Progress, Katey Dawson the Ruth Prouse Memorial Award and from Y13 there was double award winner in Holly Eggington (Biology & Chemistry).

Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “It was wonderful to see so many former students return, mingling with those currently flourishing in our Sixth Form, and I know parents and families were delighted to see the formal ceremony take place. For many their next such award event will be their university graduation.”
