tempest-fordThe Friary’s involvement in the local business community – via Lichfield Business Connect – was again showcased in our promotional event with Tempest Ford in Lichfield which saw the school working to secure support and connections from the community to ensure we continue to provide the best possible education for Lichfield youngsters.

The event saw a range of local stakeholders come together to celebrate Christmas but also to rub shoulders with one another and to get the city working together better and better so that we can all feel the benefits.

The Ford Tempest team hosted the event superbly with an excellent buffet and the students provided the entertainment, before breaking off to talk with local business and community leaders.

Karen Foster, Executive Director of The Lichfield Garrick Theatre, contacted us afterwards to say: “Lovely to meet you last night and to hear the musicians; I thought that they were performing to a really high standard and I am sure that you are justifiably proud of their achievements.”

Lottie Hearn, Assistant Headteacher, said: “We want our students to understand the connections and links in the business world so events like this give them a very different insight. Additionally, the event brought extra PTA fund-raising, involvement in a campaign against Anti-Social Behaviour with the Police Commissioner’s Trust and The Garrick, a sponsorship link with Tempest Ford, and another opportunity to once again showcase the talent of out extraordinary students.”
