Having reached the Midlands Finals, The Friary team performed well against a string of top-ranked schools from as far afield as Leicester, Rugby Worksop and Trent.
Every match was close and though the team missed out on the overall tournament victory. They certainly showed their mettle and well-deserved to play in some very illustrious company.
Goalscorers included Matt Cooper and Sam Ling, with the latter winning The Friary’s ‘Player of the Tournament’.
Huge thanks for the many parents who showed out and particularly the staff, Ms Fallows and Mr Hickman, who have been with the team on this journey fort eh early rounds right until the final match. The team have made the whole school proud.
