As part of National Anger Awareness Week, the school staged a series of events and tutor time activities designed to encourage students and staff to reflect on the positives and negatives of anger and how to better channel and control anger in our daily lives.

One of the activities saw students receive meditation trading designed to encourage them to pause, reflect and calm themselves. In addition, there were pampering events, awareness bands and quizzes.

Lesley Gill, Inclusion Lead, said: “The meditation sessions were something to give students an insight into how anger and stress can be better managed and reduced. We provide a lot of support in school for students but we also have a responsibility to equip them for post-school life when the support systems that work so well now fall away.”
