The recent performances of ‘Billy Elliot’ were a real high for the cast, directing team and school, but it has also been fantastic to hear how it has been a real high for parents, families and the wider community too.
We have been inundated with phone messages, emails, tweets and verbal praise and just wanted to share some of it with you:
- “Just to say what a fantastic show I have just witnessed. I was enthralled by the professionalism, dedication and commitment given by all the cast.”
- “I spoke to some of the audience over the interval and many didn’t have children that went to the school but had heard about the quality of the production which is great for the schools reputation.”
- “I cannot believe this performance was amateur and by children under 18.”
- “Amazing show tonight @friaryschool everyone worked so hard on and off stage!”
- “What an amazing performance of Billy Elliott! Well done everyone involved!!”
- “It made me very proud that my daughter attends a school with such high standards, with an emphasis on fun, creativity, and being the best that you can be.”
Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “The messages have certainly matched our own feelings and it has been wonderful to have so many people take the time to send in their thoughts. The feedback reflects so well on the performance team and with other performances already on the horizon for this term and next there is so much to look forward to.”
