The Friary School are fully on board with Lichfield Cathedral’s ‘Christmas Tree Festival’ and are producing hundreds of angels to help fill our city’s cathedral with the targeted 10,000.

fred1Both students and staff are working towards the project and it is creating a great buzz in the school, as well as in the wider community.

Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “Living and working in Lichfield at Christmas is a special time with all of the events and celebrations at the cathedral and it is wonderful for our students to get the chance to contribute to all of the partnership events we are running. We are busy with own spectacular Christmas Carol Concert at the Cathedral (the evening of 14th December), a business partnership at Tempest Ford (the evening of the 15th December), and are visiting residential homes for the elderly to perform. At this special time our special students are giving as much as they can.”
