The Friary U15 girls swept aside Denstone in a one sided affair on a cold Wednesday evening.

The girls, made up of a mix of Year 8-10 students, put on a dominating display in the first half, applying constant pressure high up the pitch and dictating the play.

First half goals came from Tia Phillips (2) and Scarlett Roche-Allen as a result of some well worked passing and calm finishing.

Denstone came out firing after the break and tried to take control of the game but were thwarted by goalkeeper Steph Hart and a well organised Friary defence.

The tide began to turn in the home teams favour again towards the end of the half and as Denstone players tired the girls struck twice more to take a 5-0 victory.

It was a brilliant display from the girls who looked dominant throughout and, amongst a glut of excellent performances, Scarlet Roche-Allen was ‘Girl of the Match’.
