The Y12 Geography field trip is seeing a week long expedition in rural Suffolk and presented the chance to step back into the world of one of Britain’s greatest artists.
John Constable’s ‘The Haywain’, currently in the National Gallery in London, is an iconic image of pre-industrial rural England and though the world has changed plenty since then, the similarities are there almost 200 years later.
The weather may be frightful… but the chance to see a bit of history, bond together as a group, and to make sure all guns are blazing for the A-Level is delightful.
