This event was the latest in our Raising Aspirations Programme and saw Y11 students and parents not only think about where the post-16 routes were heading but also flagged up the vital milestones along the way to ensure that those aspirations become reality.

The event began with a presentation from the Headteacher and was followed by a series of optional workshops from which each family opted for their preferred two:

Intermediate Apprenticeships
By Stuart Parker, Business Development Advisor from IN-COMM.

Higher Level Apprenticeships
By Bob Keen, Carers Advisor from Entrust

In addition, Staffordshire University had a stall which held 1-to-1 chats with students / parents and handed out literature on their courses, facilities and open days.

Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “It was fantastic to see such an excellent turnout and with Sixth Form Open Evening choices high on the agenda, this was the perfect opportunity to ensure every student is crystal clear on where they are heading”.
