Our ‘Y12 Raising Aspirations’ Evening was a huge success and combined a central talk on Sixth Form progression, with a rotation of guest talks from Entrust on apprenticeships, speakers from Birmingham and Loughborough University on undergraduate life, and a DfE talk on the path through student finance. Furthermore, there was a guest stall from Staffordshire University.

The theme of helping students and their parents learn together held true with families joining pone another to get the full picture of future pathways.

Carrie Cain, Assistant Headteacher, said: “It is so important that Year 12 understand that every lesson counts as their predicted and AS grades will largely decide their university and apprenticeship options. This evening was as much to emphasise the now, as to plot the milestones through the future.”
