On Tuesday 11th October year 8 girls entered into the Staffordshire Schools hockey competition hosted at Lichfield Hockey Club where they played some outstanding hockey.

Due to high interest in this particular sport at The Friary, we were able to outfield two teams.

The girls saw off competition from Kingsmead and EDA who also played two teams each and in total the girls scored an amazing 17 goals throughout the tournament.

Making it onto the scoreboard was: Grace McCue, Erin Staite, Connie Wadlow, Scarlett Roche-Allen, Tilly Perryman and Lily Clifton.

Player of the Tournament was awarded to Connie Wadlow for her contribution throughout the competition and scoring the most goals.
