Year 7 students had a fantastic trip to Warwick Castle as part of their Year 7 History programme and our commitment to ensure that our student recognise the renowned features of their country’s culture and identity.
The trip included a visit to the famous dungeons – with the resident actors bringing terrified screams from our students – demonstrations from archers and a trebuchet, and a full castle tour (including the 500 step challenge to the top of the tallest tower).
The weather held all afternoon too and everyone enjoyed the ‘Flights of the Eagles’ display and the adventures in the ‘Horrible Histories Maze.
Paul Calder, Head of History, said: “The Year 7’s conducted themselves wonderfully and thoroughly enjoyed a visit to one of Britain’s greatest landmarks. The day’s learning only adds to their excellent work in their History lessons.”
