Y11 Computing students got the chance to visit the EGX Gaming Event staged at the NEC and had the chance to meet with designers, marketing experts, and developers in one of our biggest and growing employers.
The event had a big emphasis on virtual reality but also had a retro-games section to give students an understanding of game development over time – from Manic Miner to Fifa 17.
Zaheer Hussain, Head of ICT & Computing, said: “Having a huge gaming exhibition on our doorstep was too good an opportunity to miss and it served to broaden the horizons of our students and their awareness of the amazing career routes open to them in the gaming sector. Everyone had a fantastic day.”
